Welcome to my Website!  Here you can find information and pictures about my crazy project/past time/hobby!

One day I had this mad idea that I wanted to build a Boeing 747-400 simulator in my house.  The project started in 2005 and throughout this time the simulator has been in a state where I have been able to enjoy flying with a gradual increase in functionality of the simulator.  Starting off simply with running basic instruments on another computer, the project has moved slowly forward gradually increasing the realism of the simulator.  This has been achieved as I have learnt more skills and been able to source more realistic or actual 747 parts.  I am now at a stage where key elements have been, or are in the process of being implemented with the highest possible realism....throttles, rudders etc...  But as any home cockpit builder will tell you - the project never ends... you can always achieve something that adds that little bit of extra realism...although perfection will never be achieved - in some areas we can come very close...

Below lists the latest updates.

Been a good few months since the last update - but lots has been going on.... Added pictures to the Throttles Overhead, Yokes and Lower Ped sections to reflect on updates made. I have also brought the MIP  (Main Instrument Panel) section live with an early shot of the overall cockpit..  Next few months will see the Cabin built, overhead mounted, completion of seats and Phase 1 of the visual system....
